With the southeastern New Brunswick region expected to be moderately impacted by the passing Hurricane Teddy this week, residents of the Village of Salisbury are reminded of the importance of being "72-Hours Ready" ( http://www.salisburynb.ca/VillageOfSalisbury/images/Emergency_Information.pdf ). Teddy, which as of the morning of September 22nd was an offshore category 2 hurricane (tropical cyclone) with winds of 165 km/h, is expected to make landfall in southeastern Nova Scotia on Wednesday morning, September 23rd, as a post-tropical storm. Southeast NB will experience this as a mostly rain event spread over Tuesday and Wednesday. The rainfall forecast for the Salisbury area is 35-50mm during the storm. The wind forecast for the Salisbury area is NE-NW 40-50 km/h with gusts of 60-70 km/h.
