In 2025, the Town of Salisbury issued 75 permits for a total construction value of $37,853,219 with institutional permits leading the way at $20-million in construction value.
“The Town’s development activity demonstrates how our strategic planning and foresight lead to intentional growth that respects the small-town realities of our community,” says Mayor Robert Campbell. “The Town is pleased to see the confidence of institutional, commercial, and residential development that fills the gaps in our community, and looks forward to seeing another positive year, for residential development in particular, in 2026.”
In 2025, a total of 42 residential units were created, 35% more than in 2024. This includes a multi-unit building on Dundee Drive and one Accessory Dwelling Unit, incentivized through the Town of Salisbury’s Residential Development Incentive Program. Housing remains a key priority for the Town with more residential growth expected as we enter 2026.
Institutional permits, including for the new Government of Canada Building on Fredericton Road and the new Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (NBDTI) building in River Glade, compliment the recent completion of the Salisbury Fire Rescue Station, showing how all three levels of government continue to make generational investments in our Community.
The Town is guided by a 2023-2026 Strategic Plan.
