The Town of Salisbury is currently recruiting for a Coordinator of Protective Services to join the Town of Salisbury during an exciting period of organizational change and growth amid Local Governance Reform. This is a NEW full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position that reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and works closely with the Town of Salisbury Fire Chief.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to do something different everyday and who wants an opportunity to demonstrate their skills for eventual growth within the organization, while getting to work with residents, colleagues, and community stakeholders to increase community vibrancy and promote community safety.

With an increasing demand for By-law Enforcement Services, and to assist with the increasing demands of the volunteer Salisbury Fire Rescue Department, the Town is introducing a new role that will allow you to advance within the organization and provide you with the opportunity to craft the role as the Town continues to grow and evolve. You may also have the opportunity to work with the Town on delivering shared services with neighbouring municipalities and will have the opportunity to join the Town during an exciting period for this service area, notably with the construction of a new Fire Hall, starting in 2024. 

The role is expected to be divided in By-law Enforcement Services (45% of time), Emergency Measures (15% of time), and within the Salisbury Fire Rescue Department (40% of time). This will include leading the By-law Enforcement and Emergency Measures Work in the Municipality and assisting within several areas of the Town’s Volunteer Fire Rescue Department.
