Residents of the Town of Salisbury are advised that this Saturday (July 20, 2024), members of Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue (TCGSAR) will be undertaking training exercises in Salisbury to simulate urban searches for missing people.
While the exercise is anticipated to last from 8:00AM-5:00PM, residents will notice members of TCGSAR undertaking their training in public locations beginning at 1:00PM, mainly within the neighbourhoods around the Municipal Office, Highland Park, and downtown area. Residents may have Volunteers with TCGSAR knock on their residence as they participate in the urban search/missing person simulation throughout the afternoon.
Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue Group, Inc. is a volunteer emergency service group that is activated by police forces or the Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) for search and rescue efforts, including lost, missing, or injured persons. More information on TCGSAR can be found online here: https://www.tcgsar.ca/.
The Town appreciates the understanding and patience of residents as TCGSR undertakes this exercise in our community.
