On February 11, 2026, the Town of Salisbury received a Certificate of Determination under the New Brunswick Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation for File Number 164301, Sunrise Twilight Subdivision.
This step provides the environmental conditions required on the part of the Town, and has granted permission to proceed with the project, under the conditions.
With the environmental approval having been granted by the Province of New Brunswick, the Town will now undertake the following steps:
- Continue exploring the appropriate land-use designation, which will require a formal public process under the Community Planning Act to determine finalized development plan(s);
- Submit funding application to the Provincial/Federal government, which are required for the Town to undertake the project.
The Town appreciates the public input received with respect to the environmental considerations. Additional information will be shared when available on next steps for the project.
