The Salisbury Department of Recreation and Wellness offices are located on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 56 Douglas Street.  The Department consists of a full-time staff member, a part-time staff member, and students hired to help in the Summer months.

The Department is responsible for recreational programming, leisure and wellness activities, and events to provide opportunities and encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle for the community.

Salisbury Lions Pool

In-person swimming lesson registration will take place at 62 Douglas Street on Tuesday, June 11th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

Be prepared with your child’s Medicare number and swimming level. If your child’s level is not known, we have a list of last year’s participants.Registration options are as follows:Full Summer (2 sessions):
o Single: $120.00
o Family: $210.00One Session (July):
o Single: $80.00

Registration opened April 2 for the Community Garden in Salisbury at the following link:
The Town of Salisbury has seven raised garden beds available for community use at 62 Douglas Street with soil and most tools and equipment provided. Staff will contact you to confirm which bed you have received and provide you with further details on the garden.
We will be limiting each resident to one garden bed.
Each bed will cost $20 per year.
You may send an e-Transfer to finance@salisburynb.ca with the password “Garden2024” or visit the municipal office (56 Douglas Street) to pay in person by cash, cheque, or debit.

FITNESS CLASSES, YOGA and PICKLEBALL:

Fitness punch passes can be purchased at the municipal office at 56 Douglas St.
15-class pass = $30
30-class pass = $60
45-class pass = $90
OR $3 drop-in fee for fitness classes

YOGA

Yoga began in the Fall of 2023.

Yin Yoga takes place on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm and Flow Yoga takes place on Thursday nights from 6-7pm. Yoga is held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church (3062 Main Street) in Salisbury.

No registration is required.

Yoga has a drop-in fee of $5 or you may purchase a 12-session punch pass for $40 or a 24-session punch pass for $80. Yoga punch passes are separate to the fitness class punch passes. You can purchase punch passes at the municipal office (located at 56 Douglas Street in Salisbury), which is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except for Holidays.

BYOM: We ask that you bring your own mat. We will only be providing mats for the first two classes for those looking to try Yoga before purchasing a mat.

The Petitcodiac Salisbury Minor Hockey Club has in-person registration coming up on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 6pm-9pm and Tuesday, September 12 from 6pm-9pm. Please click on the registration letter link here for important information with regards to the upcoming season.

The Parent Code of Conduct will need to be signed and give to us at registration along with the registration form and medical form.
