Oath of Office Ceremony for New Salisbury Town Council

The new Salisbury Town Council, elected in the municipal election held May 11, 2026, was sworn in Monday evening before a packed public gallery of family and friends in Council Chambers.

New to Town Hall are Councillors Krista Ingraham-Côté (representing Ward 4), Glenn McLaughlin (Ward 1), and Holly McNeil (Ward 3).

Phyllis Bannister (Ward 2) begins her second term on Council.

Elected for the third time are Councillors Jason Gallant (at-large), Nathan O’Blenis (Ward 3), and Stephanie Thorne (Ward 3).

Mayor Campbell begins his fourth term on Council and third term as Mayor of Salisbury.

Following the Oath of Office, Mayor Campbell stated the new team is ready to build on the growth the Town has enjoyed these last few years, adding “progress is not a finish line, it’s a commitment, and tonight we renew that commitment.”

Mayor Campbell also took time earlier in the evening to recognize the dedication, hard work, and passion of Sarah Colwell, John-Wiebe Dykstra, and Joe D’Ettore during their time on Council from 2022 to this year, which was the inaugural term for Town Council since local governance reform took place in New Brunswick.

As for the new Council of the Town of Salisbury, their first public meeting will be as Committee of the Whole, scheduled for Monday, June 22 at 6:00 PM.
