Also held as part of Community Days this year was the 1st Silver Fox Art Contest.

The exhibition and award ceremony took place on Aug. 15th at the Gaxiola Art Gallery, next to Gaxiola Mexican Restaurant. The entries will remain on display there for another week for public viewing.

Twenty-eight artists, aged 3 to 43, took part in the contest, and they all received certificates and prizes provided by business partners.

The artwork was judged anonymously by a panel of five professional artists, using the same five criteria across every category.
