The Salisbury Public Library aims to meet the educational, cultural, informational, and recreational needs of the community. As part of the New Brunswick Public Library Service, we provide access to a province-wide collection of more than 1.8-million items, 11,000 of which are on our shelves.

Need a library card? New users can register for free if you are a resident of New Brunswick. Just bring in one piece of I.D. with your current address. A parent or legal guardian’s signature is required for children under 13 years of age.

Our collection includes bestsellers, fiction and non-fiction for a wide variety of research and recreational purposes as well as large-print books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, genealogy materials, language kits, adult literacy materials, and talking books for the visually and/or physically challenged. Downloadable e-books and audiobooks can be borrowed for free via the Electronic Library New Brunswick with a New Brunswick Library card.

Ask for what you want to read or watch. Just because something isn’t on your local library’s shelves doesn’t mean you can’t read it! Search the whole collection using our catalogue, then place a hold online, in person, or by phone and we’ll have it delivered to the library for you to pick up for free.

Your card also allows you access to the library’s Online Databases where you can search for newspaper and magazine articles, reliable health information, small engine and auto repair guides, language learning software, business plans, career advice, and more.

We also offer activities for a variety of ages and are always open to new partnerships and programming ideas. We have free public access computers and free wi-fi. Our printer and photocopier can be used for a small fee.
