The Town of Salisbury is soliciting input from residents and stakeholders on the proposed Sunrise Twilight Subdivision, specifically with respect to its environmental impact(s) and proposed mitigation measures. The undertaking is currently being reviewed by the Department of Environment and Local Government under the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, Clean Environment Act. To date, two rounds of Technical Review Committee questions have been issued and responded to. The Department’s review is ongoing.
On April 17, 2025 the Town of Salisbury registered the proposed Sunrise/Twilight Subdivision (“proposed undertaking”) with the Department of the Environment and Local Government in accordance with Section 5(1) and Schedule “A” of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation.
The purpose of the overall proposed undertaking is to construct a residential subdivision, including townhomes, duplexes, and single-family homes, between the existing Karen Court (Hilltop Subdivision) and the existing Sunrise Avenue and Twilight Avenue (off Fredericton Road). This would occur on Town land, following a feasibility process undertaken in partnership with the Housing Hub of New Brunswick.
As part of the public consultation process, the Town is inviting residents and stakeholders to offer comments on the proposed project and its environmental impacts. Residents are encouraged to inform themselves on the undertaking and offer comments, if any, by one of the following way(s):

It is also available online on the Department of Environment and Local Government’s website.
Residents and stakeholders are invited to submit comments until October 31, 2025.
