TOWN OF SALISBURY NOTICE OF INTENTION
TO AMEND THE ZONING BY-LAW TO PERMIT SHIPPING CONTAINERS TO BE
USED AS A TEMPORARY/SEASONAL VENDING FACILITY AND FOR THIS TO BE A
PERMITTED USE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY USE ZONE
Public Notice is Hereby Given that the Council of the Town of Salisbury intends to consider a proposed By-law to amend By-law No. 17, the “Town of Salisbury Zoning By-law.’’
The proposed By-law is intended to amend Section 3.10 Vehicles and Vehicle Bodies, as well as, Section 3.11 Temporary Construction Uses and Seasonal Vending Facilities Subsection (b), to permit shipping containers to be used as a temporary/seasonal vending facility and for this to be a permitted use within the Community Use zone.
Any person wishing to inspect the proposed by-law may do so at the Municipal Office, 56 Douglas Street, Salisbury, NB during regular office hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday except holidays, or by viewing the draft by-law on https://salisburynb.ca/municipal-office/by-laws/.
Council has set by resolution the Regular Council Meeting of March 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 56 Douglas Street, Salisbury, NB, as the date, time, and place for the Public Hearing for any person wishing to speak for or against the proposed change.
