RCMP serving the Village of Salisbury are investigating a case of vandalism and theft in which a small building was damaged and all of its wiring inside was stolen.

The building, located on school property off Douglas Street, houses the electrical service for the lights at the adjacent baseball fields. The value of the wiring that was stolen pales in comparison to the several thousand dollars in estimated damage.

The discovery was made mid-morning on March 30th by an NB Power technician who came to read the meter at the building. The vandalism and theft would have occurred sometime since the previous meter-reading on March 18th.

If you have any information that could help the RCMP in their investigation, please contact the Southeast District RCMP Caledonia Region Detachment at 387-2222.
