The Town of Salisbury wishes to advise residents that renovations will be undertaken at Salisbury Town Hall (56 Douglas Street) beginning on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Renovations are expected to last until early Summer.
During renovations, in-person services and visits at Town Hall will be limited during certain phases of work. A number of measures have been put in place for the renovation period:
- Once work begins on the main level, expected in mid-April, in-person visits to Town Hall will be by-appointment only. All payments will be preferred via e-transfer; however, the Town will be available throughout the week at a designated time for payments next door at 62 Douglas Street.
- Council meetings will be held virtually. Committee of the Whole meetings will be held in-person at the Salisbury Lions Club.
- Phone lines and emails will be monitored as-usual.
During renovations, even when in-person visits are not only by-appointment, visitors can expect an active construction site. Prior to visiting in-person, residents are encouraged to phone the Town at 506-372-3230 or email at info@salisburynb.ca to ensure Town Hall is open for in-person visits.
Renovations will consist of energy efficiency upgrades, accessibility upgrades to the entrance, council chambers, and reception area, as well as space reconfigurations to better serve the public.
