As part of National Volunteer Week (April 21-27, 2024), the Town of Salisbury is pleased to be hosting its second annual Volunteer Awards Banquet. This event is intended to recognize the many contributions made by volunteers in the Salisbury area.

As part of the April 25th event recognizing community groups and volunteers, the Town will present five awards selected by the Volunteer Awards Committee based on a call for nominations. The Town has launched the nomination process, which will remain open until April 5, 2024. Residents, organizations, and those who are familiar with individual(s) who have made an impact through volunteering in Salisbury are encouraged to nominate them online for consideration for an award.

At the 2023 Salisbury Volunteer Awards Banquet, held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 31, awards were presented to David and Bonita Miller (Volunteer of the Year), 580 Hugh Campbell Air Cadet Squadron (Organization of the Year), Skyler O’Blenis (Youth Volunteer), Stephen Stevens (Volunteer Firefighter of the Year), and Fran Bowdridge (Decade of Dedication).
