The Town of Salisbury was pleased to join representatives from Giant Tiger Stores Limited, including James Johnston, Head of Transportation at Giant Tiger and Chris McKee, Executive Director of the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association, for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, May 31 at the Tiger Trucking Maritime Transportation Hub, located on Fredericton Road in Salisbury.

The Transportation Hub, located at 3058 Fredericton Road, opened in 2023 as a central Maritime logistics facility for Tiger Trucking, the private fleet operations for Giant Tiger Stores Limited. With more than 70 local employees, the advanced maintenance facility ensures a smooth transportation flow to Giant Tiger’s stores in Eastern Canada.

“Salisbury is an ideal location for the Tiger Trucking Maritime Transportation Hub. With ease of access to the Trans Canada Highway, our location is a competitive advantage,” said Mayor Rob Campbell. “Giant Tiger Stores Limited choosing Salisbury as its location for a Maritime logistics facility is a testament to our strategic location, and the Town is pleased to join them in marking the official ribbon-cutting for their new location.”

In attendance at the ribbon-cutting on behalf of the Town of Salisbury were Mayor Robert Campbell, Deputy Mayor Jason Gallant, Councillor Phyllis Bannister (Ward 2), and Councillor Joe D’Ettore (Ward 4).
