During the Regular Council Meeting of March 10, 2025, Salisbury Town Council held a vote for First and Second Readings of a proposed By-law to re-zone a portion of land at 502 Sanatorium Road for the purposes of an indoor micro-cannabis cultivation facility.
This process has garnered significant public input in opposition and in support of the proposed project. The Town appreciates the respectful engagement of residents through this process as Council deliberated the proposed application.
During the meeting on Monday, the motion failed by a 4-3 vote. In light of this, the rezoning matter is considered defeated.
The Town appreciates the input from residents on this application, and would encourage residents to remain engaged as the Town considers matters such as future land use.
