The Town of Salisbury has engaged Narrative Research, an Atlantic Canadian research company, to undertake a town-wide Resident Survey to gauge resident feedback, satisfaction, and to inform future priority setting for the Town.
All households in the Town of Salisbury will receive a postcard via mail in the coming weeks. Each postcard will contain a unique Access Code that will provide access to the Survey. All responses are strictly confidential, and the survey and analysis is being undertaken by Narrative Research, an independent third-party. To maintain the integrity of the survey, there is to be one access code (and therefore one completed survey) per household.
“Our community has seen significant change since the Province’s municipal reform changes took effect in 2023,” says Mayor Robert Campbell. “Our current Council implemented our Municipality’s first ever Strategic Plan, with the current 2023-2026 Strategic Plan ending this year. This survey is an ideal opportunity for residents to help set priorities for Council as we begin work later this year on developing a new Strategic Plan.”
The survey looks to understand resident satisfaction related to service delivery, programs, and municipal priorities. It also seeks to understand resident preferences on areas of focus and to get a better understanding of top priorities.
While the survey is primarily conducted online using the Access Code, residents may also request a paper copy of the survey and/or complete it via phone by calling Narrative Research at 1-888-854-6555.
The survey results will be presented to Salisbury Town Council as part of onboarding/orientation for the incoming Council, following the May 2026 elections. It will serve as the basis of the development of the next five-year Strategic Plan that will commence later this year.
