During the Regular Council Meeting of May 12, 2025, Salisbury Town Council held First and Second Readings, by title only, of the consolidated by-laws, being By-law No. 16 and By-law No. 17, that merge the former Village of Salisbury Zoning By-law and Municipal Plan with the Westmorland Albert Rural Plan. The following constitutes public notice under Section 70 of the Local Governance Act.

Feedback on the proposed by-laws as presented must be sent IN WRITING to the Town Clerk at clerk@salisburynb.ca by Friday, May 30, 2025 to be presented to Council prior to having Third Reading. Feedback can also be provided in-writing in person at the Town Office, 56 Douglas Street, during business hours.
SUMMARIES OF BY-LAW NO. 16 (SALISBURY MUNICIPAL PLAN) AND BY-LAW NO. 17 (SALISBURY ZONING BY-LAW)
This proposed consolidation of the former Village of Salisbury Zoning By-law and Municipal Plan with the Westmorland Albert Rural Plan is intended to serve as the creation of one overarching planning document for the entire Town of Salisbury. This is a consolidation of existing regulations and policy and does not constitute a new full municipal plan. The Public Presentation for this process was held on March 24 at Town Hall, and the Public Hearing was held on April 30 at Salisbury Lions Club. Notices of both were issued on the town website, on social media, and in the Town newsletter. The required notices pursuant to the Community Planning Act had, therefore, been met. As stated during the Public Hearing, with the exception of one question which was addressed, there were no written submissions submitted to the Clerk.
