The Town wishes to advise trail users that the work on the NB-Trail Railway Trestle is delayed until July 30, 2025.
This additional delay is required to complete the installation of the timber railing. To date, the decking and timber curb has been completed. Fabricated brackets have been received and the railing work is forthcoming.
While the Town recognizes the inconvenience of the delays in the repairing of the trestle, the final product will enhance both the safety and trail experience for both pedestrians and those on recreational vehicles. Delays at the start of the contract involving substantial increased scope to undertake necessary repairs are the primary reason for delays. Until such a point where all work involved in the contract is completed, the trestle cannot be re-opened.
The Town appreciates the patience and understanding of both motorists and pedestrians. Additional updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
