Salisbury: Through the Lens

As part of several exciting cultural initiatives planned for 2027, the Town of Salisbury will launch a new book series, released every five years, showcasing the beauty, character, and spirit of our community to residents and visitors alike.

We’re looking for photos taken by Salisbury residents and Town employees to help tell our story. Each selected image will receive its own dedicated page, featuring a description of the photo and the approximate location where it was taken.

Photos will be organized into four categories:

Community     –      people and places

Agriculture – industry and landscape

Heritage – history and infrastructure

Nature –  natural beauty and wildlife

Photo Submission:

Submit your photos to recreation@salisburynb.ca. Please include the location where the photo was taken (for example, Colpitts Settlement) along with a description of the image. Descriptions should be a minimum of 40 words.

When submitting your photo, please provide your full name and indicate whether you would like your name to be included in the book as the photo contributor.

All images submitted for inclusion in the Salisbury: Through the Lens book may be used by the Town of Salisbury for publication in the book.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: January 31, 2027

Image Criteria:

For a high-quality photo book, images must have a resolution of 300 Pixels Per Inch (PPI) at their final printed size. This means a full-page photo (roughly 8.5″ x 11″) requires at least 2550 x 3300 pixels. The exact pixel dimensions depend on how large the image will be on the page.

Refer to these minimum pixel dimensions (at the standard 300 PPI) depending on how the image will be laid out:

  • Full Page (approx. 8.5″ x 11″): At least 2550 x 3300 pixels
  • Half Page (approx. 8″ x 6″): At least 2400 x 1800 pixels
  • Quarter Page (approx. 4″ x 6″): At least 1800 x 1200 pixels

All submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Salisbury Arts, Culture, and Heritage Advisory Committee (SACHAC).
